Verona VFW Post 6811 Ladies Auxiliary

We are, currently, in the process of re-establishing our Ladies Auxiliary. In August a sign-up sheet was posted so that those interested could let us know if they would like to participate. Judging from the response there was sufficient interest. 

On September 9th, 2006 Gerry Gates, the Department Chief of Staff for the VFW Ladies Auxiliary was contacted regarding how to get the project going. She stated that a vote to establish a Ladies Auxiliary must be held at and that a majority of at least  2/3 of the membership vote in favor of the proposal. Then a letter, signed by the commander, stating our purpose and verifying that a vote was held and passed be submited to Department Auxiliary President, Martha Ferens. She would, in turn, assign someone to assist us.

A vote was taken, at the October 2006 general business meeting, to establish a Ladies Auxiliary and letter was sent, as required, to the Department Auxiliary President. At this time we are waiting to hear from Ms. Ferens..
